TIME Stories – Game of the Week

Don’t you wish that you could travel back in time? Of course you do, everyone would love the chance to go back and fix past mistakes. As a child, some of my favorite movies and shows were about time travel. Back to the Future, Quantum Leap, Time Cop (ok, maybe not that last one) were all excellent examples of good and bad outcomes from messing with the time stream. And our newest Game of the Week takes some inspiration from Quantum Leap as you are sent back in time to put right what once went wrong.
TIME Stories
Published by Space Cowboys, TIME Stories puts players in the role of Temporal Agents who must use their advanced technology to travel back in time and fix a mistake. Sounds easy enough, right? Not so fast. The key is, you don’t always know what you have to do to fix the problem. As you play the game, you will be making mistakes, pursuing dead ends, and otherwise exploring the time you are sent back to. Eventually, time will run out and the game will end.
And that’s what’s so unique about TIME stories. When the game ends, it doesn’t stop. Until you actually fix the issue, you need to keep trying. But the key is, you can use your knowledge of what happened in the first game to aid you in your next attempt. So that dead end lead you wasted time on in a previous run, you will smartly know to bypass in the next one.
If fact, it’s almost impossible to win TIME Stories on your first try. You are just going to make too many mistakes. But that’s OK, because half of the fun comes from unraveling the story, solving mysteries, and figuring out the optimal route to succeeding at your mission. The down side is that once you’ve successfully completed a mission, it has no replay value. It’s destined to head to the trade pile as you head out to pick up the next mission, of which there are already half a dozen with more on the way.
If you are looking for a highly unique game that will keep you rapt with attention, than check out TIME Stories, our newest Game of the Week.
